Li'l Gn'r is the first
ever Guns N'Roses kids tribute band. The band consisting
of five children ages six through eleven was formed
in October 2003. They made their concert debut December
14, 2003 at CBGB's Gallery in downtown New York City. They
have since played a total of six live shows and are currently
planning a summer tour. Li'l Gn'r has been featured in Rolling
Stone, Spin
Magazine, Esquire, the London
Guardian, Los Angeles Times, and New
York Post. They were also seen nationally May 31st
on VH1's "The Top 100 Metal Moments of all Time" Alexa Palminteri, 9 (Li'l
Axl) Do the kids lip sync or do they really play? Li'l
Gn'r does NOT lip sync!! The kids singing is 100% real. Alexa
Palminteri, Li'l Axl, is on lead vocals, with Arielle Gordon,
Li'l Izzy, on background vocals. Dylan Gordon, Li'l
Steven Adler, plays live drums under a karaoke style track. Li'l
Gn'r was created by New York City comedian, Mark Malkoff,
originally as a video piece for his comedy show, FNI. Malkoff
held an open call which was attended by one hundred children
who auditioned for the role of Li'l Axl and company. Five
children were selected and Li'l Gn'r was born. Mark's web-site
is www.MarkMalkoff.com. How can I book Li'l Gn'r for concerts and other events? No. |
